Last month's bust of vendor HollandOnline tied to two other vendors. (AlbertHeijn & AmsterdamUnited)

New information which has come to light:

  1. Apparently HollandOnline was the biggest Dutch vendor.

  2. They seized 1kg of MDMA and 9kg of XTC pills along with 400k in cash and BTC

  3. He got busted due to a cop seeing him transacting a drugdeal somewhere outside.

  4. AlbertHeijn and AmsterdamUnited where linked to HollandOnline and also got busted because of him.

  5. AmsterdamUnited alledgedly was their supplier but also supplied other unnamed vendors. He contacted other vendors and made them offers to supply them with bulk.

  6. They seized 487 BTC from AlbertHeijn.

  7. They all will be tried on 1-september

  8. Article finishes with a statement that the Dutch police is cooperating with other countries, Eurojust and Europol to identify Vendors.

If you ordered from these vendors consider your drops burned.

The trio was in pretty close cooperation if they all got busted together. To me it seems as if it was one giant operation being ran under 3 different accounts.

Pretty big hole in the Dutch market atm.. others have started to fill it already but i'm starting to see things becoming more difficult in the, pretty small, dutch landscape.

Question: they seized 400k in cash and Bitcoins. Where is the rest? No way HollandOnline had only 400k on him. He must have a stick hidden somewhere?

Report states that they made around 1mil between them. Either they don't have the full picture or more is hidden away. Cars and expensive items where also seized.

Don't want to incriminate myself, but this isn't necessarily true.

If you want to maximize your OPSEC just consider the drop to be burned after a vendor you have used in the past gets busted and his BTC seized (which means they likely had access to his system).

I know of an estimate by Volkskrant that said he should make around 4 mil in revenue per year. Let's say it's half. He vended for several years...

400k really seems very little.

You're right. But for child abuse cases convicted criminals can get a longer sentence if they refuse to decrypt their drives.

Encryption doesn't help you in NL. The judge can force you to give your key.

False. This only applies to child abuse cases, and only if other abuses or crimes can be proven by the court. If the suspect refuses to cooperate and decrypt his drive then it will result in much longer sentences. But it is limited to these cases.

I can't find a translation, but it seems odd that someone in that game would get busted just because a cop saw them making an outdoor drug deal. Is that what is said? (If of course, you can be bothered indulging my idle curiosity: )

Apparently they already had eyes on him before as well:

If you put this in a translator you'll find out he was already a suspect in an investigation.

I wonder if he was meeting the other vendors locally to sell bulk. If they were moving that much weight I could see him just meeting up to do the deal instead of shipping it.
