[AMA Series 2015] Presbyterians

The thread will be posted some time around 10 am (EST)

2 hours late is still pretty early in Presbyterian time. Also, I don't know where the other two panelists are, so hopefully they show up. Go easy on me until they get here.

#Panelists u/TurretOpera
Turretopera is an ordained PC(USA) pastor and a lifelong member of the PC(USA). Prior to becoming a pastor, he was briefly a researcher at a state university cooperative extension, and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, as a biologist.

I'm a PC(USA) pastor. I work with UKirk ministries (PC(USA)'s campus ministry network) as the Campus Minister at a large public university. I also pastor a small congregation on Sundays. I'm a recent father. My wife is also an ordained PC(USA) pastor, who serves as an Associate Pastor at another congregation.

I've been Presbyterian my whole life. My parents are both elders, my dad is a lay pastor. I'm a pretty moderate PC(USA) Presbyterian. I get really frustrated with both the liberal and conservative ends of Presbyterianism. I'm pretty Neo-orthodox when it comes to theology, and I'm very evangelism-minded. Sometimes I think I should have been Lutheran.

I wouldn't consider myself an expert in Presbyterianism, but the only other two that signed up were from the PCUSA, so I figured it would be nice to have a conservative voice on the panel. I've spent some amount of time in the PCA and LCMS. Now, I'm in the EPC. For non-church things about me, I graduated from UM-Dearborn with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. Now, I'm working as an engineer in a steel mill. It doesn't suck. I listen to quite a few podcasts, so if you have any suggestions, let me know.
