Probably saying goodbye, ladies.

Sad

Well, 4th time in ER this week for fluids. HG won. Down 10lbs in 2 weeks. With a 14 month old, and not enough help to get through this at this time. I am missing out on my son, my relationship with my husband is rocky, and he does not/cannot afford time off to help. So we are saying goodbye to our little raspberry this coming week. And hope to try again in a few years when we can save for my husband to take time off to help. And my son can understand Mommy does not feel well. I have some pretty awful emotions about this, as we want another baby very badly, but potentially 8+more months of this is robbing me of my son, and my son of me. You ladies are awesome, and I wish you all unicorn pregnancies and speedy deliveries :)

Take care of yourself, and take the time you need to process. So sorry things are this difficult for you right now. I notice a little hesitancy in some of the language in your post, I hope you are able to find someone to talk about it to in addition to your husband.

I am so sorry for all you have been through and for the heart breaking decision you had to make. I think it takes a lot of courage to make a decision based on the best interest of your entire family. Sending you long distance hugs and best wishes for you, your son, and husband.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I have previously ended a pregnancy because of HG. Whilst it was sad, I cried guilty tears of relief at the time, such was the horribleness of HG. This time around (2nd pregnancy), I was bedridden with HG till last week, and it was the worst time of my life. I had to have carers at home, and I was in and out of hospital many many times. I wanted to end it all a few times, I am still not sure how I made it through. Under different circumstances (i.e. another child to look after, no proper support system), I am sure I would have not made it. It is important to have proper support to go through something like this, and I am sure you are taking the best decision for you and your family. A lot of hugs, and a lot of understanding from another woman x

It sounds like you're making a tough decision, but one that's in the best interest of your entire family. I respect how difficult that must be for you. Best of wishes to you and yours.

Sometimes the decisions we have to make for the best of the family are the hardest ones.

Sorry to hear you're in that spot now, but with some time and planning hopefully next time will be more manageable.

I'm so sorry. I know what you mean though. I've cried my eyeballs out at the time I'm missing with my baby, at how nursing is ending before either of us wanted it to and how things just aren't ending up the way I expected.

I hope your recovery is smooth and you get your life back.

So sorry you've had to go through this. Just in case this happens to you, your periods and bleeding might be really strange for several months afterward. Long bleed times, erratic, etc. Nobody mentioned it to me. Hopefully won't be too bad for you.

No judgement if this is the way that's best for you and the family. It must be incredibly hard. I just wondered, considering your use of the word 'probably' if there are any other options you haven't considersed before you go through this one? Like support outside of the immediate family- maybe through the community or hospital? It is okay to ask for help and to take each day at a time. Of source of you just can't do it you just can't, but I just wondered if it's something you have considered trying to access?

Sorry you've had to come to this decision but in our brief back and forth the other day I can't say I really blame you. Been there and I lucky had the support system. I wish I could give you more support than an internet hug and support via words on a screen because just a few hours and a couple chores to have help meant the world to me when I was in your shoes.

Hopefully when you're ready to try again next time you get that magical unicorn pregnancy and it's smooth sailing. Sending all the love and support to you and yours, I know you didn't come to this decision lightly. Take the time to mourn the loss of this little one. Hope to see you back here when you are ready. <3
