The old tattoo was done a long time ago (94-ish), and the artist wasn't very good, but I'd not got around to getting it sorted until now. There's still some detail work to be done, some highlighting and the fur on the lower right, but the vast bulk was done in one session today (4h30ish)
I'm very pleased with the result. Will posted a completed version after the next session.

The old one looks like Lost Vikings, also an awesome game

Awesome man. Great game, great quality tattoo. Are you excited for DS3?

Of course! I know there's not much info yet but, if it's is true, I think the mobile bonfires could be a great mechanic.
Do you put them close to boss to shorten your journey but have a tougher fight, or further away, so you have a trek ahead of you, but fight a weak boss?
And Miyazaki (sp?) being involved again gives me hope that it'll be a worthy cap to the series.
I also like the ash aesthetic.

Yes, I'm very excited too. ds2 was my first souls game and i've gone back and played the first, and watched bloodborne playthroughs too. I can't wait for a new souls game. It's become my favorite console series. Too bad the pc port of demon souls is completely broken and I dont own a 360 anymore :(

pc port of demon souls
I'm guessing you mean Dark Souls. No Demon's Souls port, sadly. It was a PS3 exclusive. I would kill for a PC port.
Dark Souls works pretty well with DSFix, and you get the added bonus of being able to install your own textures. I use the HD texture pack, and it makes a hell of a difference.
Bloodborne is great too. I've been playing a lot of it.

Oh yes you are correct, my mistake

Awesome. You should post on r/darksouls2

Love the tattoo, I am wanting to get a large tattoo dedicated to the souls franchise. Soooo much you could do with it in terms of turning it into a tattoo. So many memorable places, enemies, and characters. Hell even a medium sized tattoo which is just pitch black with a lone bonfire lit would be cool.

My god this is great. Good job to the artist on the cover up. Fucking love the Dark Souls series, I'm jealous.
