The hell is going on that picture? http://photos.motogp.com/2015/06/30/skull-rider-nota_jorge.middle.jpg
His face is like "This is awkward."
I get some of the Jorge criticism on here but this is trying a bit too hard I think. His face is nothing like "This is awkward" ...
haven't you heard? anything Lorenzo is "awkward" and "cringeworthy" these days.
I probably like Lorenzo more than any rider of the past decade and even I find him a bit awkward.
Can you people not read? I didn't say he was awkward. I noted that picture was kind of silly and his facial expression seems indicative of this.
I wouldn't have even known it was him if I just saw the picture in isolation. Is that Loris Baz on the left?
I agree it is a pretty tacky promo shot, like something from the 80s. All it needs is some volley ball and fighter jets.
Hahahaha I think it just looks like a troll face photobomb people do nowadays, whether intentional or not it's hilarious. But I wouldn't say it's even remotely cringey or awkward.. :/
Really wasn't criticizing him though. The photo itself is sort of awkward, not him, which is the normal criticism of him. That grin he has is the same one I'd be wearing in response to such a situation.
edit: Also, the photo itself is just bad as a photo. Also it looks like this is a promo shot for the sunglass company he teamed up with.
looks like a star yamaha promo pic. perks of being a factory yamaha rider i guess cheesy promo pics
...but the contact from Marc was huge.
Really?
Any contact heading in for the apex of a corner at those speeds is going to have some harsh consequences. MM was lucky to keep it rubber side down as well if you recall.
If that was huge, what would he call this https://youtu.be/l8gwvyY269Q ? Earth shaking?
maybe he would, I have no idea.
The point is less about the adjectives used, rather the effects of the contact itself.
I can tell you that had I been in VR's position in that situation, I certainly wouldn't have made it more than 30m without landing on my arse
That was a "finger wagging" contact, from memory.
Broadsided at full lean... It was huge enough to knock him offline and lucky it didn't wipe him out entirely
