What happened with Bayern's doctor man?

Lot of drama but I don't know the final result.

The mighty Pep had dinner with him a few days ago.

Bayern got another doctor for everyday problems (MW never stayed in Sabener Strasse/travelled with the team for away matches) and most of the players (Neuer, Robben, Schweinsteiger, etc) will continue to go to him and the club made an agreement with his office.

Basically the board fucked up the whole matter, but then decided to clear the air and smooth things over.

Left the club along with his entire staff (4 doctors plus medical personnel). Players are still pilgrimaging to him, as they trust him (to them he's far more than just a doctor after all these years, and there's free choice of doctors in Germany), Bayern assigned another doctor who resides right at Bayern's facility. It's all a bit unfortunate, talks were planned for the summer break. What comes out, we'll see.

Talks w/ Bayern? Do you think he'd look at other clubs?

Talks with Bayern, yes. They're planning on setting up a network of doctors who support the club, and the talks are about whether and what role he'll play in it. He won't look for another club. He's 73 years old, he has no shortage of high profile patients (currently Usain Bolt is consulting him over his problems again), and he's still the trusted doc of the German national team.

He's 72 years old I don't think he'll be looking at working for anymore clubs .

His private practice is where he makes most of his money as far as I know.

Don't think he will join another club. He is turning 73 years old this season and is based in Munich. He wasn't exclusively a Bayern doctor. Bayern often wanted him to be at the pitch but he would stay at his office in Munich. His son and other staff members would be at Bayern's grounds during training.

He's treated countless famous athletes over the years.

Didn't they appoint Dortmund's doctor as their new doctor ?

No, Schlumberger isn't an orthopedic physician, he's a fitness coach.

Doktor Müller-Wohlfahrt left Bayern shortly after the first leg against Porto. He's been a doctor at Bayern since 1977. He also has been a doctor for the German nation team and has treated countless athletes. He's treated Usain Bolt, Brazilian Ronaldo, Klinsmann, Gerrard, Chiellini.

No one exactly knows why he left. Some say it was Pep, some say it was the board. I think it was a really selfish decision on his part to leave while half the team was injured and in a time of crises. Bayern had just lost 3-1 to Porto and Ribery, Robben, Martinez, Alaba, Benatia were all injured and trying to return.

Turned out recently when Freddy Binder was fired that Kalle accused the physiotherapists after the defeat at Porto of being responsible for the defeat. Reports were that after that the entire medical team resigned.
