Studio of the Week, week 1: Madhouse
Welcome to the first episode of a weekly r/anime discussion series on anime studios! This is a space to share thoughts on any and all anime from Madhouse studios, their strengths or weaknesses, prominent members of the industry who frequently work with them, your favourites from the studio... whatever you feel like talking about. Even if you’re fairly new to anime, chances are you might have seen at least one Madhouse anime. If you’re not sure, you can use MALGraph’s section on “favourite studios” to find a list of all the Madhouse anime you’ve seen to date.
Remember to follow reddiquette and this subreddit’s rules at all times. Don’t forget to spoiler tag!
Madhouse:
I've actually seen very few Madhouse anime - only a couple of their more lighthearted series and films. I've been wanting to watch Hunter x Hunter, Monster and Nana for a long time, but I only really deal with one "long" anime at a time, and I'm currently occupied with Space Brothers. As such, I don't have a great deal to say about Madhouse, but it's a popular studio so I'm anticipating that others will have plenty to talk about.

Did I miss any? Feel free to send me a PM, but it’s likely intentional; I considered a lot of studios for this series and many didn't make the cut.
