Aeolus V2 Pro, a quick review.

So I ordered this atomizer directly from Syntheticloud on July 3rd. It took them 6 days to ship, and another 6 days to get to me from California. All the while I got more and more intrigued to see it for myself. I was pretty excited to add another authentic Atty to my collection. I cracked open the packaging after work today and was impressed with the looks of the Atty. It's sleek. Very sleek, small, well machined and clean. I followed the little instruction packet that it came with. I cleaned it, tightened down the screws that hold the deck together, screwed the barrel on and off and got ready to build. Then I remembered that I had also ordered the drip top and got super excited. I found it in the package and excitedly put it on the top cap. It doesn't fit. AT ALL. It slips on and off and falls off if I even so much as bump the damn thing. Problem number one. Then I built it. 8 wraps 22awg nichrome on a 3mm screwdriver. The build came out to just shy of .2 ohms. I wicked it and screwed the barrel on. Or at least tried to. The moment I got the barrel even close to tight, it unscrewed the Atty. Reverse threaded barrel was a bad, bad move. Problem number 2. I got the barrel on finally and noticed that even with the barrel screwed all the way down and the Atty as tight as it could get on my mod, there was still a gap caused by the ridiculously long 510 connector. The gap is about a half millimeter, but noticeable and annoying. As of now I cannot get the goddamn thing to sit flush on any of my mods. Problem number 3. If you can overlook the problems above, its a solid little Atty, until you vape at high wattages. This thing gets HOT, almost scalding hot. Problem number 4. All in all its not a terrible atomizer, not worth the 85 I paid for it and the drip top, especially considering the drip top doesn't even fit. I'll keep using it out of how stubborn I am, and because the vape is really nice and the flavor is crazy good. All in all I give it a 6/10.

Have issues with driptips fitting in mine as well.

Pretty disappointed in the AV2 overall.

The drip tip thing is shady, the way Syntheticloud put it on there site makes it sound as if it would fit the v2, then once everyone orders them with the v2 they say that they never said it fit the v2 and new drip tips are coming out for it. Why make the drip tip hole a different size? So they can sell more drip tips and piece meal you to death to get a complete atomizer. I really don't like this company they seem arrogant, they don't respond to emails or questions on their instagram. Said preorders were shipping on the 1st, I didn't receive mine till the 10th. Just a very poorly run company overall IMO

Having said that though, I really do like the atty. It sits flush on all my mods and the longer pin makes it safe to use on my hybrids as well. The barrel works great for me the reverse threading is nice insurance that it won't come off in my pocket, I'm pretty active at work and atty's are always coming apart in my pockets but I can load this one up with juice and no worries of it dumping out in my pockets. Flavor is pretty good, it's not really a cloud chaser just because of the reduced chamber the vape will get far too hot if you try to run a cloud chasing build but it's respectable at lower wattages with normal builds, similar to a derringer so it's great for temp control.

P.S. Get yourself a Dotmod friction fit drip tip, it fits perfect and its wide bore so you can drip right through the tip. Works perfect!

Thanks for the input! You don't have issues with the top cap popping off? Mine falls off relentlessly. So I vape it dry before I pocket it. I've been looking at the dotmod tip actually. Looks like a good option. I've actually managed to make the driptop fit for now, I used two 510 o rings and it sits very nicely on the atty, although it's a bit top heavy. If it sat more flush and the top didn't fall off this might be the best Atty ever. The flavor and cloud production is absolutely top notch.

Yea I had the same problem at first, there's a black oring in the baggie of spares that doesn't look like it's intended for the top cap. it's much smaller diameter and thicker than the blue one thats on there but I believe thats intended to make the top cap a snug fit for people that drip through the drip tip. It was really tight getting the top cap on with that oring but once it's on theres no worries of the top cap popping off, it's like the thing is welded on there lol

I have the delrin wide bore, it keeps the top nice and cool. Never have a problem with heat.

I do however have the fit problem... Put some dental floss around the groove in the AFC, then put the thicker black o-ring on it, and it will sit it in place.

My thicker black o ring busted immediately. Not a happy camper

Yeah, I agree that the o ring situation is crap. Well, see if they'll send you some replacements. In the meantime, I have found that the o rings from standard 510 drip tips can work as a good substitute.

That's a shame, man. I love my V1 Aeolus to death.

That sucks, man. I can't put down my V1 with the comp cap. Sorry the V2 didn't work out for you.
