Opinions/theories/talking out your ass about the Highlander and Orion IIC

I've ordered the Hunchback IIC pack so far, but I can't bring myself to pay the extra 40 for what I'm almost sure will be sub-optimal mechs. Yes, they'll both be pretty far up there due to the nature of IIC mechs, but I cannot imagine the Orion IIC outperforming a Timber Wolf, both the Orion and Highlander have low-slung hard points and nothing/very little in common with Michael Jordan for jump capability.

I was excited for the Gargoyle, which is currently collecting dust while it waits for better quirks. I was equally excited for the Executioner, and while it performs decently I have very little motivation to take it over a Dire Wolf or even a Warhawk.

I'd like to hear what everyone's thoughts are on the heavier IICs currently in the pre-release lineup, or even any thoughts on what can be done about the "bad mech" subcategory that so many chassis are stuck in right now.
