A question about connection

We have all had those games where a number of fake shots seem to go horribly wrong due to button lag, where your skill moves seem to be delayed just that tiny but which lets the opponent steal the ball...

There are also those game where your adversary just seems to steal that extra yard each time. Some call this scripting other's call this bad luck or that simply you are playing shit and the other guy is just better that you.

However is it possible to have a someone 'host' connection in Fifa? Apologies if this is a stupid question but sometimes it does seem as though the other team just seem to be able to pull off those one-touch passes whereas your players seem to take that touch before offloading the ball; even though you pressed pass before it arrived.

Back when Gears of War was popular it was common for people to bitch about 'host connection' as it gave the said 'host' a slight advantage over all other players. So is it possible for something along those lines to happen in Fifa?
