While playing games (Witcher 3) i would hear the audio hang and zap and the frame rate would dip to single digits.

This just started today. I was playing Witcher 3, and the audio would hang and zap and the frames would drop, and it would not come back to normal. I monitored my CPU temps and they never went above 72 degrees Celsius. I also used the Windows Memory diagnostic and it said that I had no issues.

Specs Intel i7-4790k MSI Z97s Krait Edition Motherboard GTX 660 8gb 1333hz Ram (5 years old now) 1tb Seagate HDD (Also 5 years old)
