I have ADD and my job does not permit medication. I can't concentrate or sit still. Are there techniques I can use?

My life has been textbook ADD. In school, I would often complete homework assignments but be so distracted in class with glue sticks or some crap that I wouldn't turn it in. I hyper focus on some tasks, but only those. Luckily my parents didn't let me hide indoors and stare at the Internet. The web is like the Heisenberg level meth for ADD folks. Now I have to do grown up stuff and my job (government) doesn't allow prescriptions of this type. What are some techniques to concentrate, sit still, and generally just stop being a f*ck?
