Mom finally gets it :)
So my mom has resisted believing my stance of not wanting children for several years (I'm 21F). She's never outright bingoed me but she has told me that I'm the best thing that happened to her and she was like me but changed her mind, etc. Today, however, she, my sister, and I were in the living room arguing about a commercial. She pulled the "You're not a mom, you don't know what it's like" comment (in reference to a dateable boy in the commercial), but followed it up with "When you're an aunt, you'll understand better." My mouth dropped open and my sister, who understands my stance, told her that was the best thing she could have said. The look of happiness on my mom's face was beautiful and I feel like she finally gets it a little bit. She's now an amazing mother in every aspect.
