Any Knowledge Regarding The Twitch App on The Amazon Appstore?

So, it's to my knowledge that Amazon owns Twitch. You'd think that this means the Amazon app store would probably receive the most updates the fastest but it's not the case at all.

My PC has never been able to watch VODs so I was delighted to hear that the option came to mobile. Since I possess an Amazon Kindle Fire, I thought I'd download the app and watch some VODs since I've been missing out for several months. I searched the appstore to find an extremely outdated and buggy app from Twitch. I downloaded it and thought I'd wait as it won't be long until it's updated. Again, I was wrong.

The finale of problems comes now. I was watching Twitch (Obviously) and realized I no longer have the ability to chat/connect to chat or even so much as follow a streamer. So I went to the appstore to update the Twitch app only to find it's been taken off the market.

What gives?

Does anyone know why or have information as to how Amazon's own company updates it's apps on the appstore last then decides to completely withdraw it from the market? I just want to watch VODs and chat in peace :(

(I apologize if this came off as ranty, I didn't really know how to word it)
