New lows
This past January, I went through a difficult break-up. One of those "I loved them and the feeling was not mutual" kind of things. It hit me hard, and due to constant reminders (I was with this person for 5 years on and off) I decided to move across the country in hopes of getting over this person. Well it has been about 7 months now, and though I still think about my ex it is definitely not the main focus of my thoughts anymore. Now I find my mind is vacant, with not much of a thought or care for anything. I go to work, come home, smoke weed and sleep...just to do the same thing all over again the next day. I know I am depressed, I always have been, but is this current mindset a necessary step towards the acceptance/letting go of the life I thought I would have? Is this constant sting of emptiness normal? I am also very stoked on this subreddit, it is refreshing to see people openly discussing their woes and misery without judgement. Some people cannot do this face to face otherwise.
