Brothers, my father won't let me give my video card to a friend.

I'm upgrading my video card and he won't let me give away my video card to one of my friends who has been using integrated graphics for 3 years. I'm looking for anything that might change his opinion on this. Edit: Just to clarify I bought the card and my entire computer.
