Chinese citizen travelling to UK for 12 day holiday, NEED VISA HELP.

Hello, I am a Chinese citizen who lives in Beijing, on September 27th I will fly to the UK (Manchester, providing I get my VISA, I have already booked the flight). I will stay for 12 days with my boyfriend in his house in Shropshire (we will probably travel around though). I have never been to the UK as a tourist, previously I studied in the UK but my uni did the VISA for me.

What are the requirements for the VISA as I am having some trouble finding this information online. I am worried about getting denied for whatever reason.

If anyone knows about this or knows someone who does please could you help me out?
