Lost friends?

I haven't been around for a month and some friends have removed me. We had not been gaming together long but I enjoyed all of their company. I was looking if there was some way to find a friend history? I know one of their old screen names but I recall them changing it a few days before I took off and don't know the new one. I also have a screen shot of their old avatar but have no means of locating them. I even know some of their inventory and game history. That's just one of them, but finding them will lead to the others. I found a site called steamid.co.uk and when i looked up my profile it showed some of my old friends, but none of the ones who recently removed me. I'm guessing I'm shit out of luck but thanks for any help I do get.
