Scary bug almost made me restart a 50 hour save file

So i'm about 50 hours into my first play through when in the middle of a conversation and notice something funny on the right side of Geralt's neck. It was a certain tattoo from the second game that I KNOW I didn't have for the save file I imported. My mind immediately started racing about how I could have maybe imported the wrong save and have a completely different choice branch that I don't know about, or having an uncompleted save file imported (my W2 save files are 550 strong so it's possible). I immediately thought about making a new game but reason took over and I had to be sure.

I loaded W2 and made sure I found the correct save file I wanted, then loaded it into W3. No tattoo there. I then started looking through older save files in W3 and found that Geralt didn't have a tattoo there either (should have done this first but that's how panicked I was) I then started going up the list of W3 saves to find the ones that had a tattoo. Lo and behold I found a 10 minute gap in the tapes where Geralt somehow snuck out and got a tattoo without my permission. I noticed it about an hour later after it happened. Has anyone else suddenly had the tattoo appear on their Geralt?

TL;DR: Noticed my Geralt had the tattoo from the second game, PANICKED, then found out it was (very weird) bug.
