Best Wireless Company? (Phone question)

Basically to avoid too large of text walls I am 16 live in Nebraska and I am going to be getting my first smart phone.

The main local company we have around here is Verizon and I am planning on getting a Samsung Galaxy S6.

My question is should we go with Verizon or not? A lot of my friends say that they are fine but reviews say otherwise.
