Bronze squad help.
Hey everyone, I've been playing with a bronze squad for a few games now and I'm looking for some advice on organizing my lines. I'm also open to suggestions on adding/removing players. I'll be adding Bjorkstrand as soon as I find one on the market.
Play style:
I like to come up the boards and either stop up and hit the trailer, or cut into the slot for the shot or a pass for a tap in for the guy going to the net. Failing that I'll cycle the puck looking for one timers and point shots.
Defensively I take control of my defender as soon as I lose possession in their zone and they start to transition. I hold the middle of the ice and force them to shoot at me or wide of the net. Once they set up I make defending cross crease/back door priority. If they are playing high in the zone I'll move up and pressure trying to pick off a pass for a breakaway or force an offside. Once they pass low again I bring the closest man back down to defend back door/cross crease.
I'm enjoying all the players so far but Petan has been frustrating. I have a hard time winning draws with him and he feels sluggish despite his 80 skating. I've been thinking of moving him to the wing or dropping him all together. Has anyone tried him on the wing?
