There's a new Draenai intro.

Conducted some quick searches to see if this had already been covered; I missed patch notes for a quest holding me from loremaster, so I'm not always up to speed! Today being Freyaday, I may also be enjoying one or more altered states, so I'm hoping I didn't just dream this.

My understanding til now was that Draenai/Blood Elf starting areas where among the oldest unchanged content in the game, along with the bulk of Burning Crusade, since Cata revamped most of vanilla, and streamlined what it didn't gut. This is why these were two of the areas you couldn't fly, and part of the WoW timesnarl depending what order you play things, since Belfs and Draenai begin in a conflict that ended years ago.

I roll a lot of alts, so I have no idea when I last tried these particular intros, and of course I sometimes skip them. Today is the first time I can remember the intro acknowledging the defeat of the Burning Legion. I related this to the news that the next expansion would be announced soon.

EDIT: The intro itself was nothing to write home about, but it's not like I was expecting starting zones from 2.0 to be the nexus of WoW's future. I was just glad to see a change at all.
