Brett Urbas has passed away. 7/30/15
It's with a heavy heart I have to share the news that Brett Urbas has passed away after injuries sustained by being struck by a car. Brett was an absolutely stunning blader and all around awesome guy.
The word is he landed a trick and was struck by a car. He was taken to the emergency room where he passed away from his injuries. Its a very sobering reminder that the stuff we do is real, and no matter how good of a skater you are, life can always change in an instant.
Brett was one of Detroit's finest bladers. One of the few people i've ever met who could fakie 7 KG on command. With his signature knees popped delayed spin in on his 360 souls and 540 kind grinds, and the uncanny ability to land everything from a soul to a fakie 1080, his passing is a huge hit to the bladers in his area.
