Top 5 Predictions (take 2)

I made a similar post earlier in the season, and I was interested in how the answers differed now that the shows have changed and we have a better idea what to expect at finals. I know scores don't really matter in the end, but it still plays a major role in this activity. Here's my list. It's ballsy, and I might be a little biased, but I have reasons to back them all up.

-Cadets

I think the new black and neon uniforms will definitely help. They have insanely clean drums and their mellophones are one hell of a section. Last night, they seemed to run out of energy by the closer, but I think that's because they took the opener too fast from the hype behind the new uniforms. They are only really lacking in their guard caption, but Crown 2013 proved that a corps can still win gold, even if they are not placing that high in a specific caption. -Crown

I had my doubts about this show at the start at the season, but it's really grown on me. The new ending is cool and the gigantic flags are awesome. Their horns sound pretty clean to me too. I'm almost positive that they will medal come Finals.

-Bloo

I didn't know whether to put Bloo in 3rd or 4th. What they're doing out there is really something else. The ballad is just gorgeous and the electronics really work. The new closer is really fun too, and they are fairly clean.

If I based my scores off the rest of the season, BD would definitely be higher. The spread last night in Chester was less than a point, which proves that anything can happen between now and finals. I'm just not too sure what I think about the concept. I loved last year's show, but Ink just isn't doing it for me.

It's a solid show and would definitely medal any other year, but the top 5 is so competitive right now. Pure Imagination is really beautiful and the light up sashes and coils are cool. I just can't see them topping the other shows.
