Question?

So, you know how one can buy confederate paper currency. Any idea if confederate silver or gold existed at some point in time and if it is possible to get some. I can only imagine the mark up would be horrendous. Kinda want some though. I am guessing that after the war any silver or gold coin would have been melted down and made into USA currency.
