Chase bank gave me a counterfeit $100 bill.
Hi there, so I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I need help and don't really know what to do and I was sent here from r/finance. A week and a half ago (Tuesday the 21st) I went with my roommate to Chase bank to withdraw $500 that she owes me for rent. She's from Kazakhstan and her English isn't the best so I went in with her in case there were any issues. We went up to the counter and asked for $500 from her account, and the woman behind the counter gave her 5 $100 bills. Four of them were the new version and one was the old version. Later that day I took the $500 to my bank (Bank of America) and tried to deposit it in the ATM. Four of them deposited and one kept getting spat back out at me (the older version bill). So I figured it was just bent or something, but the lobby was closed so I couldn't go in to deposit. I haven't had a chance to go by a bank until today, but I tried a different Bank of America ATM with the same result. I went into the lobby and told the teller what was going on and he tried it on every money counter they had. All but one said that it was counterfeit. He showed me a real $100 bill and I could tell the difference by the feel of the paper. He couldn't take it and basically said I was screwed. So now I'm here, and I have no idea what to do. I'm in college and $100 is a big deal because I really need to pay rent and I'm going to be cutting it close this month as it is. Does anyone have any idea what to do or how I can go about fixing this? I'm about to go to work but I was planning on going to the Chase branch I got it from when I get off. Thanks for your help! Sorry again if this is the wrong place!
Edit if you want to see the bill in question, here it is.
