[M4F] The hunter and his prey

You look back again, hoping you had finally lost your pursuer. As you look around the dark and misty forest, you feel the dread creeping up inside you. Being lost, alone, and powerless, you sink down against a tree and try to calm down. The silence doesn't last long however when you hear the rustle of a nearby bush.

I'm leaving that open to you, what is pursuing you? What will it do when it finally catches you? Will it be some hunter with some sick game tailing you like some animal? Will it be bounty hunters chasing you for a reward, and maybe a little on the side? Or is some supernatural being hunting you. I'm happy to indulge other ideas! I'm however not into killing or poop, the rest is open for discussion.
