I can't unlock the "play 10 hours of smash" achievment.

I set up my 3ds to have a 4 player free for all, with infinite time. I let the thing go all night and all day at work and I still havn't unlocked the achievent. I figured with the time I've legitimately played, and played with friends that I should've unlocked it by now. What's going on?
