To all swimming experts: some health questions
Over the past year, I've put on some extra weight; approximately 20-25. I'm a stay at home mom (a year ago I was a single working mom with a job that kept me on my feet) and have been very inactive this past year. I've decided to once and for all shed this weight and inactive lifestyle and started utilizing my YMCA's pool. I've been swimming 1-2 hours a day every day this week, and plan on continuing everyday for some time.
My concern is the effects of chlorine on my skin and hair with excessive use. It's an indoor pool so I'm not worried about the sun. I'm just worried what it will do my hair mainly. I've been rinsing myself off after each use, and used a clarifying shampoo one day. Are there any pointers to maintaining healthy skin and hair with daily pool use? I don't want to wash it with shampoo every day since it'll make my hair oily :/
