[Build Ready] Upgrades are so hard to choose

USD$

Hey guys!

Recently I decided that I want to upgrade my PC, and it went from just getting a new GPU to completely overhauling all of the parts apart from the CPU/RAM/Monitor.

This is my old/current PC.

Here's a quick breakdown of my thoughts about it:

  • CPU: Quite satisfied. Don't really do much apart from gaming, and it handled that fine.

  • Motherboard: Annoying as all hell. This also plays with the shitty case I have, but the motherboard has terrible audio/is super shaky. Definitely going to upgrade it.

  • RAM: Shit works. 8GB is fine for me at the moment.

  • HD/SSD: 1TB is enough for my music/random games downloaded on it, and the 120GB is fine for Windows/Steam games. Not really looking to upgrade this.

  • GPU: It works. I've had it since 2012 and I'm more than satisfied with its performance since then. However, in modern games its getting slow, so I'll definitely be upgrading it.

  • Case: Fuck this piece of shit. Maybe it's because I have abnormally large hands, but I absolutely detest this cramped space inside. Getting a full tower.

  • PSU: Definitely going fully modular.

  • Monitor: Perfect for FPS, all I really want from it. Stays.

I decided to spring for the hybrid kit for the EVGA 980ti due to the temperatures being so much lower, and since I'll be dorming, that should help. Since I already got that, I decided on watercooling my CPU as well, and the case is perfect for that.

Apart from that, what do you guys think I could improve upon? What could I do to maximize my enjoyment from this PC?

Thanks!
