Going to fresh install windows 10, but wait, maybe I should get Linux. Why should I and how can I keep windows for gaming and whatnot

What are the biggest reasons to go Linux and how would I do it Ike keeping windows bootable?

How does booting to windows work? What about Linux makes it better? Enlighten me!

Better make the switch now since I'm going to do a fresh install
