Borderline High triglyceride readings in 18 year old. Should I be concerned or was my doctor right saying I was healthy (story inside)
I'm currently 18. My mother is screaming at my doctor and the hospital he represents for telling us that everything was normal (everything else returned as normal) when she received the actual lab results. My Triglyceride readings are 153mg/DL (I think I'm fine, only barely above normal range), yet my mother insists that triglyceride should only be "high in 80 year olds", and that a "child" shouldn't be even close to such numbers. She refuses to trust my doctor now because he "hid information from us", and is making life unpleasant for everyone in the household for the results.
Should I be worried about my numbers, or was my doctor right in the fact that I'm fine?
