TIFU by trying to clean up spilled chocolate milk powder

S

This happened about a year or two ago when i was 15 or 16. I was home alone which is not an often occurance as there are 6 of us in my family. It's in the middle of the afternoon and I decide why not enjoy a tall glass of chocolate milk.

I got up from the couch and went over to the pantry. The chocolate milk powder was in the back behind some boxes. This is where the first FU begins. Me trying to be efficient I hold a box or two of crackers in one hand while reaching in for the chocolate milk. Now my mom buys the Nesquik chocolate powder and the lid is not too secure. So you guessed it... I only had one hand to grab the chocolate powder so i stretch my fingers over the top to grab the lid and the lid just comes off and a two-thirds full container of chocolate powder falls about 4 feet to the tile floor. Chocolate powder everywhere

First thought: how am I gonna clean this up?
Second thought: vacuum.

I got the vacuum and plug it in. This is the second FU. I knew something was wrong when the vacuum turned on when the smell of the chocolate powder instantly flew into my nose. It was mixed with a little bit of a burning smell. I vacuumed for about 5 more seconds when I realized my mistake but the damage was done. The mess was spread wider and there was chocolate powder all in the vacuum.

I decided to keep it a secret but mom found out the next day when she was vacuuming the living room and smelled the chocolate powder. She questions me and I fess up. Vacuum became chocolate febreeze cleaner whenever it ran for the next month.

tl;dr tried to clean chocolate milk powder on a hard floor with vacuum. Vacuum smells like chocolate period for next month.
