Do I need to be good at this game to in Plat/Diamond or do I need to have a lot of game knowlegde?

What if I suck ass but know everything and numbers about LoL from patch 0.01 to now patch 5.14/5 and how every single champion works?

Or I know abosuletly fuck all about this game but I was born from Faker as my Father and some Korean/EU Challanger female was my mother?

P.S. I didn't mention NA cause they suck ass!
