CS:GO Moviemaking Issues

Hello, so recently I've been trying to use this guide to record frags from my demos at 300fps. Everything in the process goes swimmingly, until I uses the "startmovie" command, and then my performance absolutely plummets, and stutters back and forth, all noticeable in the rendered product. Does anybody know what the issue here is?
