So what's the perfect number of players on a server now?

I just bought a video card and I can finally play the new Rust. I've joined a server with around 40 players, because in legacy rust that was, I think, the perfect number.

Now, a server with 40 players seems like a wasteland. I've played for like half an hour and I found just one player, that happened to be an AFK naked guy.

Also where are the god damn animals? I've only found 2 horses..
