Life Lessons Learned The Hard Way
OOC: This happens after the events of this post (TL;DR: Seth ODs on painkillers and is sent to the hospital). Also title inspiration!
Well, that could've gone better. Waking up in the hospital is a rough way to start your day. According to the doctors, I can leave after spending another night here, so I'm not too worried. What I am worried about, is myself (for once). Even now I can feel myself wanting to take painkillers to relieve the dull, seemingly everlasting pain in my head. I feel both embarrassment and shame at the thought of being addicted...but it's the truth.
After exactly 2 minutes of being bored (I know because I was staring at the clock), I take out my phone. I'm a bit saddened by the lack of messages and calls. Not towards my parents though, as it would've been more surprising if they did care. I decide to fire off texts to people in my contacts.
being in the hospital is so boring. if anyone's free to visit, that would be gr8!!!
3 exclamation points. That should get the point across. After sending the messages, I decide to browse the internet on my phone and read up on how to deal with addiction.
OOC: If you've met Seth before, just assume they've exchanged numbers or something. I'm gonna make it unrestricted, but I'm not sure how other people would meet Seth there (other than also being at the hospital for whatever reason). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
