[SECRET] Interrogation of the French Soldier by the Holy Inquistion

Brother Lucious pulled up his hood and descended into the lower quarters of the Basilica St Peter, here under the venerated chapel prisoners and apostates were held. By day the Basilica was swarming with Pilgrims and Priests praying to the man Jesus called "his rock."

On the setting of the sun however, the Basilica took on another more sinister purpose, a rock that provides strength to one, can just as easily break another. Brother Lucious pulled his hood tighter against the cool night air, and knocked on the Chapel doors.

A shutter opened

"Password Brother," a nameless figure behind the door asked.

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty," Lucious responded, the intricacies of the meaning of this Psalm was not lost on him.

The shutter closed sharply, Lucious walked steadily down the steps to the lower depths of the Chapel. Brother Angelo stood waiting, heating a small cross shaped brand over some hot coals.

"Bless you Brother," Lucious smiled, "I hoped you hadn't started without me".
