Prog Album of the Week - Week 92 (08/02/2015): Gentle Giant - Acquiring the Taste
As always, we encourage participation from everyone - if you've never heard the album, there's a YouTube link provided! Go check it out and report back!
Welcome to the ninety-second week of r/progrockmusic's Album of the Week! Last week we discussed Rush's A Farewell to Kings and that was lovely.
If you'd like to peruse previous weeks' discussions, please visit the archive.
As the name (and disgustingly vulgar cover artwork) suggests, this is a taste that must be acquired. But in terms of their creative output, this stuff is some of the purest and best they released.

####Potential Discussion Questions:
-
"... It is our goal to expand the frontiers of contemporary popular music at the risk of being very unpopular. We have recorded each composition with the one thought - that it should be unique, adventurous and fascinating. It has taken every shred of our combined musical and technical knowledge to achieve this. From the outset we have abandoned all preconceived thoughts of blatant commercialism. Instead we hope to give you something far more substantial and fulfilling. All you need to do is sit back, and acquire the taste."
