Does SD card quality affect resolution?

Does the quality and speed of a micro SD card affect the resolution and quality of photos and videos? I have an SD card but I think it is a cheap chinese one even though it says speed is 10. Please let me know, thanks in advance!

Won't effect quality, the camera will simply stop recording.

The camera will stop recording if the SD card can't keep up with the camera. My 64Gb writes at 48mb/s and is plenty fast to keep up with 4k at 30fps. I would definitely recommend a fast or ultra fast card for the gopro.
