Dude here. I've been on dates in the past and when the topic of children came up, and I'd say "I absolutely do not want children," that more often than not was the beginning of the end.

Of course, it's amazing how people will try to project their feelings onto you to seemingly try to guilt you into wanting kids. It's really fucked up to do such a thing, in my opinion. You want kids? Awesome, have at it! That's your choice and I won't try to convince you otherwise.

I have good reason for not wanting children. I'm biologically not cut out for it, plain and simple. My father's father was a shitty father. My father was an absolute disgrace to fatherhood. My brother, who has four kids with three different women, is pretty much right on par with them.

None of them wanted kids, but they decided to have some anyway. I know that I don't want kids, and having them isn't one of those "meh, let me give it a shot and see how it works out" kind of deals. It's a fucking life-long commitment.

But, being a 30Y/O guy with no wife and kids almost seems to make people think less of you. The other day, my boss was talking to a coworker whose wife just had their second baby. He looked over at me and said "[SlamDunx] is next!" I just said "nah, not in the cards," which led to a borderline interrogation and a couple of coworkers making passive-aggressive comments. It's my choice, guys, and it doesn't affect any of you. Anyway, sorry for the rant. Just try to respect people's personal choices is all I'm trying to say.
