How do I get rid of my bad luck?

Personal

I know what you are thinking, there's no such thing as bad luck. People make their own luck. And to a point I agree. This isn't a post about losing my job or dating a loser. Those are all obvious choices. Things I have control over do well, because I prepare for them. Such as job interviews, tests, etc.

I have bad luck in uncontrollable things. In the past 10 years I've had at least 10 cars break down on me despite regular upkeep. One of the cars I borrowed while my car was broke down - broke down. I get stopped at red lights so much it's become a running joke. I have to leave 10 minutes earlier than everyone else because I will hit every red light. There are so many times I picked something off a shelf of hundreds only to get the broken one. In a speech class of over 60+ students, there were 4 major speeches. I was drawn to go 1st for 3 of the 4 major speeches. I've had a huge number of appliances go out on me, even brand new ones. There have been 2 different times in my life that I've come down with a virus they've never seen before and had to be quarantined.

It's gotten so bad I have had people refuse to ride in a car with me, or even be around me in case my bad luck "rubs off" on them. I seriously don't know what to do at this point. Even though I'm logical I've purchased lucky rabbits feet, moonstones, etc to try and change my luck. I'll leave the house with a great attitude saying "it's going to be a great lucky day!" only to have a random tree branch land on my car. Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do?
