Ao Kuang tips? :)

Hey, I'm starting to learn Ao Kuang, and I have a 2.30 kd as him at mastery 1 but I still can't tell if I'm building him and using him right. Can some Ao Kuang mains help? Not only with conquest but modes like arena joust and siege too? My build is pen boots, bancrofts, book of thoth, rod, chronos, and spear of magnus.
