Seagate External Hard Drive has Stopped Working after Upgrading to Windows 8.1
Since installing Windows 8.1 my Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk 3TB hasn't been working. It's recognized in my system bios and it was able to connect when I booted into Linux Mint 17 from a disc but it won't show up anywhere in Windows 8.1. The hard drive is definitely running but but the light doesn't come on, which of course indicates that it's not connecting (it comes on in linux and at the bios page) I've been looking around the internet trying to find a fix but there seems to be no worthwhile answer.
Additionally, I have a 1TB Seagate Passport that works just fine with Windows 8.1.

Yes, I did a clean install. Wiped the SSD(840 EVO) using samsungs secure erase tool prior to installation.
