Localization differences?
I'm interested in Japanese culture and the differences that are made in localizing JRPGs for a western audience. What are some scenes or other things in games that you've found don't make sense for a western audience - has anything made you go "Well, that's a bit weird, but ok, I'll roll with it"? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking that the way a younger person would address an older one would be difficult to translate, some of the lead-ups to the boss fights are different to western games (Maybe that's just "talking smack") and the importance of the group being placed above that of the individual.
