Not sure whether I should roll my eyes, laugh hysterically, or scream. [RSVPs]

Hi friends,

Some background, our wedding is fairly casual, and since it's at my parents' property, they got free reign to invite whoever they wanted (within reason).

My dad chose to invite his cousins (we'll call them the Meltons), which is fine! I know all of them, and I went to high school with some of their kids.

However, they're some of the least accountable folks ever. Let's say... free spirits.

Their RSVPs have been a bit of a nightmare. Some of them don't actually have email addresses (and therefore, we had to mail save-the-dates instead of sending electronic) and my dad and his mom honestly could not come up with a firm number of kids for most of the 12 cousins.

I sent most of the invites as "Mike Melton and Family". And then I messaged one of my second cousins I know from high school and just said something along the lines of, "Just FYI all the Melton cousins + their spouses, and their kids + spouses are invited to the wedding. We just need counts specific names by the RSVP deadline so we can make sure we have enough seats assign tables". She totally understood and said she would spread the word.

One of the cousins, Ken, has no physical address, and I was told to just address one invite to "Tim and Ken Melton and Families" because that's the best dad and grandma could get me.

Our RSVP form is online, and purposely leaves room for kids and plus ones, because my family is ridiculous and you just never know.

Here are Tim's answers to the RSVP questions:

Name: Tim Melton

Are you able to celebrate with us? We'll see you there! (vs. "We'll raise a glass from afar")

Who is your 1 and/or little ones? Six people.

Anything else you want to add or mention? Was I to include Tom Melton & Family, Mike Melton & Family and Julia Melton and Family???

I sent my dad a text and asked that he reach out to Tim and find out who the six people are because we need names for the tables... and to let him know that Tom, Mike, and Julia all got invitations of their own (though I haven't heard from Tom or Mike, of course...)

Just thought you ladies and gents would appreciate the fact that we got an RSVP with a +6 :)
