On Harry's Media Consumption...

Part of what makes the books so great is that Harry has a lot of Sci-Fi/Fantasy zingers mixed in with the usual verbal snipe. But where did he acquire his Cultural Literacy?

Obviously he has access to lots of books and comics, but what about movies and TV? At what point does the emotional rollercoaster of watching something like Star Wars blow out any DVD player that would be playing the movie? Through time we've had VHS, DVD, and now Blu-Ray and digital streaming! I expect old projectors with actual film might hold up for a while, and some of the stuff he might have actually seen before his magic manifested. But, now that theaters are almost all digital, how does he do it? (and don't say film adaptation novels, because why would anybody read those?)

Taking that a step further, would he be able to hang with friends at movie night? Could he set himself up in a chair at the Alphas' place and draw a magic circle around himself, his cokes and his popcorn? (what if he had to pee...?)
