Goblet squats
I've always had an old school kind of mentality when it comes to training legs. Lots of heavy compound movements and not too much machine work. I do a lot of low bar squats, front squats, conventional & stiff leg deads (usually deficit pulls to get more glute action), lunges, and split squats.
My dog just got neutered and had eye surgery, so I took off work to spend the day with him and make sure he's alright before I leave him home alone.
Today was also lower body day, so I had to train legs in the living room with dumbbells. I started with 10 sets of 20 goblet squats with a narrow stance. Holy shit was it tough. I got the best quad pump I've had in a really long time and felt like I got a month's worth of cardio done.
I've never done this movement before because I figured it was just for people too lazy to do real squats, but I may incorporate this into my programming. What do you guys think about goblet squats?
