Has the chance of ranged ammunition breaking been revealed?

Couldn't find anything, wondering if anyone knows the chance of things like arrows, knives, darts/blowpipe, bolts, etc breaking when shot. I've heard things like 1/8, 1/5, but nothing really solid backed by evidence. Perhaps a mod made a post on forums/twitter that's been lost? I don't know.
