Best Thermostat for Smart Home Integration

It would be nice to have sensors (temperature, humidity, etc) in every room, but it would be even better to make use of those.

It seems silly to have them for other features but then have duplicate sensors for use with a Smart Thermostat.

The two on my radar were: Norm, and EcoBee 3.

Nest seems to be too independent and doesn't use input from other devices. The idea would be to adjust the thermostat based on other rules and settings, or vice versa.

Has anything new come out yet? Any thoughts?
